He was sent flying too, while screaming, and even though he probably didn't go very far since he didn't jump on purpose, he was still screaming like he was going to die. His glasses achieved more liftoff than he did. Goodbye glasses.
How would they land? Rei just wanted to reach the ground, but also try to shield Nagisa from the impact of the hard surface.... He couldn't see anything due to his glasses taking off, so it was a blurry mess. How they landed, he wasn't even sure, but the ground definitely hurt his knees. ]
