I took what you said seriously about the steak place you mentioned on that public post that should not be mentioned, so I made reservations for Saturday night at 6:30 P.M.

[ Rei was surprisingly calm other than the fact he had nervously sweated through two outfits already, thus decided on wearing something that wasn't a polo or a sweater since he was already warm enough from pacing around his room, making sure he had everything. Instead, he was wearing a deep blue shirt, similar to the color of his usual swim trunks, as well as a black vest, some casual dress pants, and a bowtie to top it all off. He knew the place they were eating was nicer, so he felt like he should dress up some, especially since they always saw each other in casual wear.
He had an actual list that he had made on his phone with all of these embarrassing facts about himself, plus a few things he realized that he didn't know about Nagisa, even if there were not that many, he had an article saved about conversation topics on the first date. Though, he and Nagisa never really ran out of things to talk about, but he was prepared for anything. Rei had also picked up some beautiful flowers for Nagisa, they were pink and yellow of course, but they were his favorite type of flowers, or well, Rei hoped so, since he just sort of guessed that Nagisa would like these flowers.
Finally, he double-checked literally everything, made sure he had his wallet, and then decided to send the "on my way" text to Nagisa, since he would pick him up, after all. He couldn't drive just yet, but maybe one day he could pick him up in an actual vehicle. Today was not the day, and even if he could drive, he'd probably get distracted too easily since he was a bit nervous about this date, but he was acting pretty calm surprisingly. They were just going to eat, after all, it's not like it was a huge production or anything! He didn't have to worry about anything at all! It would go just fine and the food would be good! He would even hold his hand!!!!
And then he realized he had been lost in his own thoughts outside of Nagisa's door for a good few minutes now, standing there and not even knocked yet. Of course, he then shook his head to get his mind back to reality, and he knocked on the door, holding the flowers behind his back. Please let Nagisa be the one to answer.... ]

Rei had a lot of work to do tonight, and maybe one of them worked late, so video chatting was the best alternative for communicating for the day.
